Parts of Speech

We learned about nouns in the first week of school.  We searched around the classroom for nouns.  We taped word labels to things and people all around the room.  Isabella taped a label that said “boy” on me!

Next we learned about adjectives.  We played the Paper Game.  We described lots of types of paper like the PINK paper, the DIRTY paper, the MAP paper, the RIPPED paper and the MATH paper.

Chloe and I learned about verbs yesterday.  A verb is something that you DO.  Ms. Lisa gave us slips with words like “run”, “sing”, “drink” and “swim”.  I like verbs the best.

We also do grammar boxes.  We read cards that tell us what to find or what to do.  Grammar is fun.
