Recess

Recess is awesome!  This year we have recess before lunch.  I usually play soccer every recess with Julian, Gavin Adrian, Aiden, Jack, Liam, Jason and Auggie.  Sometimes Cami and Maria like to play too.  We used to use two cones for each goal but now we have two real nets.  Gavin’s parents donated them.  We often kick the ball so hard it goes over the fence.  The neighbors usually throw them back to us by the next day.  It is a good thing Julian donated three soccer balls!

Not everyone plays soccer at recess.  Josephine plays “farmers” and always includes anyone who wants to play.  Miles and Adam often play with her.  Others join in too.  Some people play a football game called Moss.  Sometimes we just play regular football.  Nola and Marbella play “teenagers” or “wolves.”  Seraphina and Aiden sometimes play “military.”  Some people like to read outside.  Others draw. 

Recess is my favorite part of the day.  It is a great way to exercise and enjoy the outdoors.
