Space
This year we have done a lot of space-involved Wednesday Wonders. I think space is very interesting, with all of its planets, black holes and galaxies.
We learned about the star, Betelgeuse, the comet 3I/Atlas and more. We’ve learned about the equinox, the phases of the moon and how the moon controls the tides. We’ve learned about the solar system and we memorized the order of the planets in a fun way like this: My (Mercury) very (Venus) excited (Earth) mother (Mars) just (Jupiter) served (Saturn) us (Uranus) nachos (Neptune). We are about to start planet reports with our buddy groups. I hope my buddy group picks Saturn. It is my favorite planet besides Pluto. Pluto is not really a planet anymore because it is too small.
Here are some facts I learned about during our space studies:
Betelgeuse might explode one day.
The stars outside of our solar system are much bigger than our sun.
Scientists think that our Earth might have other quasi-moons!
Those are just some of the facts that I have learned this year. I cannot wait to learn more things about space. People are learning new things about space every day so that shouldn’t be a problem one bit!
